1 Star If you like customer support DON’ T BUY THIS!!!
I DO NOT LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK – Ever. However, I bought this (with an extended warranty) and had problems because it wouldn’t recharge. I contacted the extended warranty company (offered here through Amazon) and they were excited to tell me it wasn’t their responsibility since the original warranty was still in effect. I wrote the company and quickly got a “suggested fix”. I tried it and it didn’t work. Ever since (four months ago) I haven’t been able to get any feedback from the company at all.
So – don’t buy this product, don’t trust this company, be SUSPICIOUS of the extended warranty offered by Amazon.
I have been buying online for almost twenty years and this is my first real negative experience.

I was very disappointed with this product. It didn’t work with my Mac, which isn’t exactly the latest and greatest, but I was also disappointed with the video quality. I’m sure if you’re a PC user that it might be OK, but I think there are much better products for the $$ out there that are easier to handle and shoot decent video with.
1 Star CHECK BATTERY
Well, I did read many of those single-star reviews complaining of battery life, but thought I wouldn’t have issues.
I wasted my money.
After the charge that came with the product, I have been unable to recharge the battery at all. It continues to say CHECK BATTERY PACK, CHARGING PAUSED.
I have tried several web solutions: the one offered by the Makers of FlipCam on their website, as well as cutting around the battery pack’s contact point. No luck.
I then thought, well, at least I can salvage this with good old disposable batteries — nope. They ellicit the same message.
The Flip Company sends generic replies to my communications.
I was trying to save some money getting this camera, instead of a quality one, and instead I got a one-time use video camera. My mistake.
Don’t make the same one.

5 Stars Flip UltraHD – I Love It
Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black) This is my second Flip Video. I got many super memorable clips with my original Flip. This new Flip is twice as good. I upgraded to the Ultra HD for the quality. I wanted 2 hours (instead of one hour) and I wanted wide screen high definition. The Ultra HD delivers. I never miss a shot because I always have it with me. As much as possible I shoot using a monopod to keep it steady or I prop myself against something. For planned events I have a regular camcorder w/ tripod, but they are not portable. I also use my Flip HD as a second camcorder during events and that works out fine. I know today people are using telephones as camcorders (I don’t own a phone) but from what I see the quality does not match that of the Flip and I doubt you get 2 hours. As for batteries, I always have extra AA batteries on me too. For samples of videos that people have done with their Flips, go to [...] or [...]. Flip now has a newer version, the Flip slide. I will probably upgrade yet again. As for old Flips, give them to a friend or family member.
